Science World launches an indoor scavenger hunt game with Locatify in 2 weeks

Science World, a charitable science organization in British Columbia, wanted a mobile game to enhance guest interaction with its "Zoom Into Nano" exhibit. Their challenge was to create an engaging experience that used phones to discover hidden items without becoming a distraction. They partnered with vendor Locatify to use its platform for this purpose.

Locatify's solution utilized BLE beacons and its TurfHunt app to create an indoor scavenger hunt. The innovative approach used transparent images over a digital map, making challenges invisible until triggered by a beacon, which encouraged active exploration. The resulting app was made available for free on both Android and iOS devices, successfully turning visitor phones into a tool for interactive education.
