The National Portrait Gallery sought to provide a seamless automatic audio guide experience for its "Face of Britain" exhibition, allowing visitors to explore without manually controlling audio. The gallery partnered with Locatify to implement this hands-free, multilingual solution.
Locatify's solution used their Automatic Museum Guide template and BLE beacons positioned throughout the exhibit. When guests approached a display, the corresponding audio for themes like Power or Love would automatically play via a custom app. The National Portrait Gallery team used Locatify's CMS to easily manage content, resulting in a successful, immersive exhibition experience available for free on iOS and Android.
