Kampen City launches a free multilingual GPS city guide with Locatify in 2025

Kampen City, a historic municipality in the Netherlands, needed a way to engage tourists and highlight its many monuments and shops while ensuring safe navigation through its crowded medieval streets. The vendor, Locatify, provided a solution using a modified white-label app template and their CMS to address this challenge.

Locatify developed the Kampen City Guide app in partnership with Soekky Stories, featuring themed GPS walks and treasure hunt games that disperse tourists across different routes. The solution includes multilingual, self-guided tours and gamified exploration with challenges and rewards. The app successfully created a "corona proof" way to guide visitors safely, as noted by the customer, and is available for free on Android and iOS.
