Icelandic Wartime Museum installs 20 Android audio guide devices with Locatify

The Icelandic Wartime Museum, located in Reyðarfjörður, Iceland, wanted to create an immersive audio experience for its visitors to bring its WWII exhibitions to life. The museum partnered with Locatify to develop a solution that would provide perspectives from both soldiers and local inhabitants.

Locatify implemented an audio guide using their Automatic Museum Guide template, which featured an indoor BLE iBeacon installation and multilingual content on 20 Android devices. The solution automatically plays audio commentary as visitors move through the museum. The app is also available for guests to download on their personal devices. According to the museum manager, the audio guide successfully brings the museum to life and greatly enhances the overall visitor experience.
