Iceland Road Guide, a family-owned travel book business publishing for over 40 years, needed a way to digitalize its collection of more than 3,000 Icelandic points of interest into an easy-to-use offline app. The company worked with Locatify to create a destination guide app using the Automatic Tourist Guide template, with offline maps, driving directions, and GPS-triggered content.

Locatify built a custom solution that connected Iceland Road Guide’s CMS to automatically pull in 3,000+ points of interest and related media, including hotels, restaurants, and attractions. The result was a free app available on iOS and Android that gave travelers an offline digital guide to Iceland, with automatic content updates from the client’s CMS and strong user-facing branding customization.
