Store managers needed a simple, automated way to monitor inventory in real time, manage van stock levels, and give technicians better visibility during service appointments, using Localz’s Scan to Van and inventory management dashboard.

Descartes Localz implemented a scan-to-van solution that integrated with Safelite’s existing technician app and operational workflow, allowing staff to replenish, sell, and track items with a barcode scan. The system gave managers real-time visibility into van inventory and transactions by technician and store, helping Safelite streamline inventory management and let technicians focus more on service; the rollout supported 7,500 mobile workers across the U.S. since 2017.
