To support this, Countdown worked with Descartes Localz, using the Collection App and Store Assistant App to bring a smoother pickup experience to its customer app and store operations.

Descartes Localz integrated its solution into Countdown’s existing customer app and added an attendant app to notify team members when customers were approaching. This helped staff prepare orders in advance and handle age-restricted items with ID and signature checks, resulting in a quicker, smoother collection process that improved customer convenience across Countdown’s 190 stores.
