Melbourne Cricket Club, one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious sports clubs managing data for over 360,000 existing and future members and supporting 3.5 million annual attendees at the MCG, needed a highly available and efficient load‑balancing solution for its on‑premise Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The club’s existing Microsoft load balancing software struggled in a new converged network spanning two data centers, forcing scheduled downtime for maintenance, so Melbourne Cricket Club selected Loadbalancer.org and its Loadbalancer.org Enterprise 10G appliances.
Loadbalancer.org installed two Enterprise 10G appliances in an active/passive configuration to balance CRM traffic across multiple servers and both data centers, delivering zero CRM downtime, better visibility into application performance, and significant IT time savings. As a result, around 60 daily CRM users can update contacts, take payments and manage memberships without interruption, the IT team can focus on other priorities, and the club plans to extend Loadbalancer.org to additional Smart Stadium systems.
