Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont is a Charlotte-based nonprofit and regional workforce developer that has grown from fewer than 20 employees in 1965 to more than 1,100 staff and roughly 800 learners. The organization relied on manual, siloed training with no standardization, unclear training processes for stores, no role-based tracking and insufficient resources or content to build a cohesive learning program or long-term vision.
Working with Immersion Technology Services, Goodwill implemented LMS365 On-Premises to launch “Goodwill University,” integrating with the Microsoft stack, migrating existing materials and adding new content, attendance rosters, automated waitlists and role-based learning paths. The platform automated training processes, clarified a learning strategy, increased employee engagement and drove a broader cultural shift toward consistent, measurable learning across the organization.
