U.S. Office of Personnel Management modernizes IT for 4 years with LMD

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) needed to modernize its IT infrastructure and ensure employee engagement for a successful transition. To manage this significant change, especially given the sensitive data OPM handles, the agency partnered with change agency LMD to implement a tailored Organizational Change Management (OCM) program.

LMD developed a comprehensive OCM solution, which included creating a custom playbook, automated readiness checklists, role-based training for leaders, and agency-wide interactive technology showcases. This approach managed the people side of the change from on-premise to cloud-based solutions. As a result, LMD aided the successful adoption of key technologies like Microsoft Windows 11, OneDrive, and a new document routing application, and also developed and launched the agency’s pilot for Microsoft 365 Copilot.
