How Highmark Health Drives Measurable Cybersecurity Behavioral Changes

HighMark Health, one of the largest health insurers in the United States, needed to improve employee cybersecurity awareness to protect sensitive data and reduce cyber risk. To meet this challenge, HighMark Health partnered with Living Security and adopted Living Security’s gamified, interactive cybersecurity training program.

Living Security implemented a scalable, engaging training approach rolled out year‑round, which drove measurable behavioral change: more than 5,000 employees voluntarily completed the training, engagement in 2022 exceeded 2021 levels, and the organization saw a significant increase in employees reporting suspicious emails and an overall improved security posture. Living Security’s program allowed HighMark Health to extend impactful training to thousands of geographically dispersed staff with minimal additional resources.
