Viewpoint CRM, a provider of video monitoring services, was commissioned by a mall developer to create a customer-facing application for an outdoor property. The challenge was to replace a traditional indoor customer service desk by offering wayfinding, information, and real-time assistance via outdoor, video-enabled kiosks, which required a robust and manageable self-service solution.
Livewire Digital developed the solution using its Enterprise Server platform, creating a .NET-based kiosk application. This integrated Viewpoint's voice and video technology into touchscreen kiosks, allowing visitors to find locations and use a "Chat with a Live Rep Now" button for immediate help. The system, deployed on three outdoor kiosks, improved customer service, provided a platform for advertising, and significantly reduced the time and cost associated with managing content and application updates.
