Livewire Digital was engaged by HSBC Bermuda, a major financial services company, to address a challenge with the customs declaration process for travelers. As one of the most traveled populations, residents and visitors experienced long lines and errors from manual duty tax calculations, a procedure managed in conjunction with H.M. Customs.

The solution designed by Livewire Digital was a custom self-service kiosk. This kiosk featured a passport reader, card payment terminal, and signature capture, allowing travelers to declare items and automatically calculate and pay duty taxes. This enabled passengers to bypass the customs desk, significantly speeding up the procedure and eliminating calculation errors.
