Case Study: UUUM achieves high-quality live golf broadcasts with LiveU Remote At-Home Production

UUUM Japan utilizes cellular bonding solutions for top-quality golf broadcasts

The Japanese multi-channel network UUUM needed to broadcast a women's golf championship from Okinawa with high production value. Their challenge was overcoming the poor audio and video quality from their previous phone-based coverage while avoiding the high cost and logistical burden of deploying a full broadcast team and equipment on-site. They turned to vendor LiveU for a solution.

LiveU implemented its Remote At-Home Production solution, utilizing two LU600 HEVC units at the golf course. These units captured the action and transmitted fully synced video feeds to UUUM's remote studio in Tokyo. This allowed UUUM to switch camera angles and add graphics remotely. As a result, LiveU enabled UUUM to successfully deliver a high-quality live stream to its audience.
