RheinMain University of Applied Sciences aimed to provide its students with practical, hands-on experience using the latest broadcast technology. The university's challenge was to organize a 5G Media Production Hackathon, sourcing future-proof, broadcast-quality equipment to allow students to explore the potential of 5G for live streaming outside the campus environment.

The solution was implemented using LiveU's LU800 field unit. The LU800 bonded multiple 5G connections to deliver high-quality live streams. Students used the technology in a signature LiveU backpack to stream live to YouTube from various local businesses, successfully providing career insights to a younger audience and gaining invaluable real-world production experience.
