Tabcorp's Sky Racing, a major global aggregator of horse racing content, sought a cost-efficient and flexible method to produce its vast volume of live broadcasts. Their traditional on-site production model using satellite and OB trucks was extremely costly due to extensive travel, accommodation, and equipment transport expenses. They turned to vendor LiveU for an IP remote production solution to address this challenge.

LiveU implemented a comprehensive REMI solution using its LU810 fixed encoders at multiple race tracks. This setup transmitted high-quality, low-latency video feeds to a central production hub over IP, replacing the need for on-site trucks. The results were significant, with LiveU's solution driving cost reductions of up to 80% while increasing the broadcast's reliability and resilience, all while maintaining high-quality coverage for a global audience.
