Shine TV, a UK production company, faced the challenge of remotely producing the show "The Heist." They needed producer/directors to simultaneously view footage from main camera teams and from the civilian "thieves" on the move to capture the most engaging story. They turned to vendor LiveU for a solution.

LiveU's solution utilized their LU-Smart mobile app. The thieves used the app on their phones to send low-res live feeds back to the production gallery while also locally recording high-quality footage for the final show. This gave producers real-time visibility and communication, reducing editorial risk and maximizing remote production to successfully tell a dramatic story. An executive producer stated that LiveU's technology has fundamentally changed how they think about productions.
