One Water Race Pushes the Limits of Live Production with LiveU

One Water Race, an extreme long-distance endurance event in the Swedish archipelago, faced the immense challenge of producing over 50 hours of live broadcast from remote and inaccessible locations. With contestants constantly on the move through wilderness and rough seas, the production required a fully mobile, lightweight, and reliable solution to transmit live video without access to fixed power or internet connections.

The solution was implemented by LiveU using their LU300S portable encoders. LiveU's cellular bonding technology aggregated multiple mobile networks to deliver a stable live signal from handheld cameras and drones to the production truck. This enabled the event to be broadcast globally to 190 countries and 10 digital platforms, providing uninterrupted coverage of the entire race.
