Middle Tennessee State University Students Use LiveU + Drones for BNA Emergency Operations Drill

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) aimed to provide students in its Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Operations program with real-world experience using IP video solutions that integrate with drones for mission-critical applications. The challenge was to prepare students for careers in fields like public safety and disaster response by giving them hands-on training with professional technology.

During an emergency training exercise at Nashville International Airport, MTSU students used LiveU to stream live drone feeds to the Emergency Operations Center, enabling real-time review and decision-making.
