Media.Monks, a digital-first marketing and advertising services company, was tasked with producing a live, immersive VR show during a basketball game. Their challenge was to increase production capabilities and provide unique camera angles without a large budget or adding more physical cameras, all while maintaining high-quality video and avoiding the connectivity issues of a congested venue.

The solution was implemented using a LiveU LU800 portable field encoder. LiveU's technology enabled Media.Monks to send a single, high-quality 4K UHD feed wirelessly to the VR environment, providing multiple static views and the portability to capture exclusive content from around the arena. This LiveU solution enhanced fan engagement by delivering exclusive live content and interactive experiences, ultimately helping to create new revenue streams for the sports organization.
