The University of Oklahoma's athletics broadcasting department faced the significant challenge of live broadcasting a collegiate golf tournament, a sport known for its complex production needs. The high infrastructure costs and logistical difficulties of covering a large course with traditional cabling methods were not realistic for their budget. They turned to vendor LiveU for a wireless video transmission solution to address this.

By implementing LiveU's wireless backpack units, the university created a highly efficient solution. They transmitted camera feeds from across the course back to a centralized control room, enabling a nine-camera broadcast using only four LiveU devices. This approach saved substantial engineering hours and monetary funds, as they utilized existing equipment without added infrastructure costs.
