A LiveU Case Study

Preview of the Polocam Case Study

Cartier Queen’s Cup 2020 Polo Tournament is the First Multi-Camera Sports Production Using LiveU’s LU800

The customer, Polocam, faced the challenge of broadcasting the 2020 Cartier Queen's Cup polo tournament without the ability to fly their full production team to the UK due to travel restrictions. They needed a remote solution to cover the multi-camera sports production and deliver it to viewers. The vendor, LiveU, provided its bonded streaming technology to address this.

LiveU's solution utilized its LU800 and LU600 units to enable a remote production workflow. Multiple camera feeds were streamed simultaneously from the UK to the production studio in South Africa, allowing for a smaller, agile onsite team. This approach successfully broadcast the event and established a new model for Polocam to use for future global events.
