Auburn University Cuts Production Costs with LiveU Store & Forward

Auburn University's athletics department faced challenges with the high costs and logistical difficulties of sending large production crews on the road to cover events. The timeliness of getting video content back to the home studio for their ESPN-branded show was also problematic. They turned to vendor LiveU for a solution to streamline their remote production workflow.

By implementing LiveU's LU600 portable transmission units with the Store and Forward feature, Auburn's camera operators gained the flexibility to either stream live or send high-quality video files back to the studio. The solution also incorporated the LiveU Smart App to capture additional footage from fans and other campus events. LiveU's technology significantly cut production costs by reducing travel crew sizes, created a more efficient post-game workflow, and freed up staff for other responsibilities.
