A Livestorm Case Study
The International Academy of Orthopedic Medecine of America, an SMB medical training academy for physicians and physical therapists, saw its in‑person education model collapse during COVID‑19 and revenues drop to zero. After moving briefly to Zoom and encountering poor support and prohibitive costs to run simultaneous webinars, the Academy chose Livestorm’s online classroom and webinar platform as an alternative.
Working with Livestorm, the Academy deployed an enterprise account, ran internal tests and mock classes with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, and moved live two‑hour courses online—using five host seats to run up to five simultaneous sessions. Livestorm’s engagement tools, analytics, and improved recordings reduced platform-related interruptions (Alexander Wielohorski reported 90% of glitches were human), increased student interaction, and cut instructor travel costs, enabling the Academy to recover business and adopt a planned 50/50 split between online and in‑person courses.
