Capitol Cider House, a cider house and restaurant in Washington, D.C., was founded by Jared Fackrell with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. As a first-time small business owner without a hospitality background and with limited capital, he needed a way to validate the idea, create a solid business plan, and prepare for financing, leases, insurance, and city licensing.
