Rover, the online marketplace for pet sitting, dog boarding, and dog walking, wanted to take its personalized email marketing further and increase sales for its Rover Store. Working with LiveClicker, the team explored whether dynamic personalization based on customers’ dog breeds could improve performance without requiring developer resources.
LiveClicker enabled Rover to run an A/B test using dynamic hero images tailored to 21 dog breed segments, compared with a generic email. The personalized version drove 80% more revenue than the generic cohort, even though the generic email had stronger open rates and more site traffic. LiveClicker also helped Rover deploy campaigns faster with no tech support, allowing the team to run 200% more tests than with its previous vendor.
