A Littlefish Case Study
The Money Shop, a divested UK and European arm of a global financial services group, faced a high-pressure IT separation challenge after its business was sold and only five months remained before transition service agreements expired. The estate supported 10,000 users across multiple regions and was never designed to be split, so the company needed a fast, low-risk way to break away its Active Directory, Office 365, email, and application environment. Littlefish was brought in to provide the strategy, architecture, and migration support, including Office 365, Active Directory, and Seamless Single Sign-On.
Littlefish delivered a bespoke “graft and prune” hybrid migration and clean-break solution, rebuilding the UK and European environment, separating domains, migrating 2,000 users, and redesigning authentication and email flow with minimal disruption. The project also included on-site support, retail helpdesk coverage, and training for internal administrators. Littlefish completed the £300,000 engagement on time, within budget, and over six months ahead of Microsoft’s suggested timeline, with minimal unplanned downtime and negligible stakeholder impact.
