Dene Guesthouse is a charming 19‑room Georgian guesthouse in Edinburgh managed by Simone Koerber, who struggled with a time‑consuming manual system: a single Booking.com listing, a physical reservation book, and custom email drafts for every guest. Reliance on one OTA left the property vulnerable to changes in commission or downtime, made multi‑channel selling and arrival coordination difficult, and risked overbookings.
Simone implemented Little Hotelier’s all‑in‑one system for channel management, templated pre‑ and post‑stay emails, rate control on a direct website, and a new site design. She connected Expedia, HRS and Agoda, saw a rise in direct bookings (at times nearly matching Booking.com after commissions), reduced administrative work (ditching printed reservations), lowered costs, and gained a more professional web presence.
