Alterra Mountain Company, a hospitality company with 19 mountain destinations, needed a better way to manage daily Snow Report emails across its brands. Their existing personalization process was effective but too time-consuming to sustain, especially as the team juggled multiple marketing priorities. They turned to Litmus and its Personalize Pro product to automate the process and keep guest email engagement high.

Litmus helped Alterra connect a weather report XML feed to automatically generate dynamic Snow Report emails at scale, with support from a Litmus Customer Success Manager during setup. The result was a set-it-and-forget-it workflow that saves about 15 hours per week for each of 12 brands, or roughly 180 hours total, while reducing manual errors. With the time saved, Alterra also tested new email tactics that helped increase click rate, revenue per individual, and lodging bookings.
