Norwegian Air’s Training Takes Off with SAP Litmos

Norwegian Air, one of Europe’s largest low-cost carriers with about 4,500 employees and 416 routes to 126 destinations, needed a way to deliver consistent compliance and employee training to crewmembers based across Europe, Asia and the U.S. With staff constantly traveling, varying qualifications and licensures, and the high cost and logistics of bringing people to classroom sessions, tracking renewals and ensuring uniform training was a major challenge.

Norwegian adopted SAP Litmos LMS — a SCORM-certified, easy-to-use platform available on desktop and mobile — allowing employees to complete mandatory courses (such as security training for employee badges) while traveling or on layovers. The solution improved visibility into qualifications and renewal status and delivered substantial cost savings by eliminating much of the travel previously required for classroom training.
