Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm with over 3,200 legal advisers, needed to modernize its document production and collaboration workflows while leveraging native Microsoft Word and keeping a light desktop footprint to support a move toward cloud-based computing. Litera Microsystems deployed DocXtools across Clifford Chance’s 3,200 advisers, integrating it with the firm’s SharePoint-based DMS and enabling native Word Compare with Track Changes, configurable rendering sets, and PDF output. The implementation produced more navigable, high-quality document comparisons, reduced reliance on third-party vendors, boosted productivity, and delivered efficiency gains (DocXtools can improve drafting efficiency by up to 80%), better aligning workflows with client needs.
