Gowling WLG, an international law firm, needed a faster, more accurate way to review and manage hundreds of complex outside counsel guidelines (OCGs). Manual review was time-consuming and error-prone, making it difficult to keep up with thousands of client requirements around cybersecurity, billing, staffing, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Using Litera Kira, the firm built a database of more than 1,100 OCGs totaling about 40,000 pages and trained 90 custom AI models, alongside built-in smart fields, to extract key clauses and requirements.
