ProfileUnity is the Remedy for Hospital’s Virtual Desktops User-Profile Bugs

Memorial Healthcare, a 150-bed hospital in Owosso, Michigan, relies on virtual desktops for most of its employees, and its IT team had to manage about 1,100 user profiles across five VMware View Horizon 6 desktop pools. After about three years in service, users began losing icons and settings, and the existing VMware Persona Manager could not help the team pinpoint the cause.

Data Strategies recommended ProfileUnity from Liquidware, and Memorial Healthcare used it to manage profiles, fix an Outlook configuration issue, and improve login performance. Liquidware’s ProfileUnity helped cut login times from about a minute and a half to between 40 and 48 seconds in testing, while also improving desktop consistency and reliability for doctors, nurses, and other staff.
