Case Study: Royal College of Physicians improves logon and profile management with Liquidware ProfileUnity

A Liquidware Case Study

Preview of the Royal College of Physicians Case Study

Neither too much nor too little, ProfileUnit is just right for the Royal College of Physicians

The Royal College of Physicians, a not-for-profit institution in London, UK, needed to improve logon performance, reduce profile-related bottlenecks, and better protect research data stored on individual PCs. With 75 concurrent users in the office and 15 remote users, the organization also wanted a more workable approach to roaming profiles, folder redirection, and desktop access.

Liquidware’s ProfileUnity was implemented to provide user virtualization across both physical and virtual environments. The solution gave the RCP finer control over user profiles, eliminated the logon issues it had been experiencing, and supported a move to hot desking and non-persistent desktops for remote staff. Liquidware also helped the RCP speed its Windows 7 migration, allowing users to log on to new PCs and quickly receive their profiles.
