Liquidware Labs VDI Essentials Guarantees a Successful Desktop and Application Refresh for Covéa Insurance

Covéa Insurance needed to refresh its desktop estate, move off Windows XP, and update key business applications, including in-house software and packages such as MS Office. To assess whether virtual desktops could support that effort, the company worked with Liquidware and used Stratusphere FIT, Stratusphere UX, and ProfileUnity.

Liquidware, working with SITS Group, ran a month-long assessment of 315 desktop machines and 308 users to evaluate VDI readiness and identify application, data, and network dependencies. The reports helped Covéa Insurance see that most desktops and user profiles were good candidates for VDI and exposed a potential latency risk that was mitigated during planning, while ProfileUnity supported profile migration for more than 250 handlers moving to the new virtual desktops.
