ICG Deploys Stratusphere UX to Enable Unparalleled VDI User Experience

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), a specialist asset manager founded in 1989, had been an early adopter of VDI and was serving global customers from two data centres. Over time, its users became dissatisfied with virtual desktop performance, and IT lacked a technical way to pinpoint or prove the cause of those complaints. ICG needed a way to baseline the user experience and set a minimum service level with the business.

ICG implemented Liquidware’s Stratusphere UX to gather trended and historical user-experience data, troubleshoot issues, and drill down into root causes across performance, application, and user-initiated problems. The tool also helped ICG measure the impact of infrastructure changes and make more informed decisions. With Liquidware, the service desk moved to a more proactive approach, reducing support calls, and the team was monitoring between 260 and 270 logged-in desktops at any one time.
