A Liquidware Case Study
Arbitration Forums, Inc. is the largest U.S. provider of arbitration and subrogation services, serving over 4,700 insurers and self-insured organizations. As it moved toward non-persistent virtual desktops for employees and remote staff, the IT team needed a way to manage user profiles, preserve key customizations, and avoid the troubleshooting and security problems tied to persistent laptops and VPN access. Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity was chosen to handle user-profile management alongside the VMware View environment.
With Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity, Arbitration Forums migrated profiles, settings, favorites, and other user data from physical laptops into the virtual desktop infrastructure while leaving behind unauthorized software and unapproved files. The rollout supported about 60 remote FAMs, with five transitioned per week, and helped the company improve security, simplify maintenance, and protect data in a disaster recovery scenario with a four-hour recovery target between Tampa and Charlotte. The IT team said the deployment was easier and a lot faster, and field reports from users were “excellent.”
