DataMaaS, an ERP-integration and data-consolidation platform for manufacturing, was hindered by a slow, costly Azure SQL Server VM, poor support, and inbound network overage fees. Wanting the same fully managed hosting experience they had in the UK, they sought a US partner to manage VMs and hardware so their development team could focus on the product.

Liquid Web migrated DataMaaS to a managed VMware private cloud (with SAN storage, Cisco firewall, Acronis backup and a hosted VPN) in a two-node redundant configuration and provides 24/7/365 support and off-hours patching. The move delivered managed VMs running at double the performance of their Azure VM, lower and more predictable costs with no inbound traffic fees, seamless VM operations as they scaled to six VMs, and improved team productivity.
