Welch Allyn saves $1.25M annually with Liquid UI

Welch Allyn, a medical device manufacturer, faced challenges with its complex SAP manufacturing processes. Production staff were required to walk to desktop workstations to complete transactions, which involved difficult navigation and manual data entry that slowed work and increased errors. To address this, Welch Allyn partnered with vendor Liquid UI to simplify these SAP interactions for its shop-floor users.

Liquid UI implemented a solution that consolidated multiple SAP screens into simplified, mobile-friendly workflows. This enabled barcode scanning to replace manual entry and allowed transactions to be processed on iPod devices directly on the production floor. As a result of implementing Liquid UI, Welch Allyn achieved $1.25 million in annual operational savings and saved over 50,000 hours per year by streamlining more than 2.7 million SAP transactions.
