Rexam Beverage Can Americas Delivers the World’s Finest Computerized Maintenance Management System Using GuiXT

Liquid UI helped Rexam Americas, a major beverage can manufacturer, overcome significant challenges in deploying the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module to its shop floor users. The complexity of multi-transaction processes, complicated screens filled with unnecessary fields, and imprecise SAP terminology made training difficult and threatened data integrity and productivity.

Liquid UI implemented its GuiXT solution to radically simplify the SAP interface without changing the underlying ABAP code. This customization created a streamlined PM Portal that reduced the number of screens for an emergency work order from 11 to 4 and cut the process time from approximately three minutes to just 40 seconds. The solution from Liquid UI provided ease-of-use, simplified transactions, and enabled Rexam’s plant floor users to work more proactively and efficiently.
