GC-heat Gebhard, a specialist in electric heating systems, faced a challenge in its sales process due to its highly customized products. The manual, expertise-dependent method for creating quotes was very time-consuming, especially as product complexity grew. The vendor, Lino, implemented its Software Made by Lino®, along with Tacton CPQ and Tacton Design Automation, to digitalize these processes.

The solution from Lino enabled rule-based, automated product configuration integrated into the existing CAD system. This allowed sales to generate precise quotes and manufacturing data at the push of a button. The results were dramatic: the time from customer inquiry to quotation was radically reduced, data quality was optimized, and process reliability significantly increased. Around 70% of all new product developments are now fully automated.
