How Zain KSA Utilized Linkedin to Gain a Front Row Seat in Telecom Recruiting

Zain KSA, the Riyadh-based arm of Zain serving over 46.5 million customers with about 1,400 employees, needed to modernize recruiting as traditional job boards, referrals and agencies struggled to reach top talent in Saudi Arabia. As more employees and candidates became active on LinkedIn, the company aimed to strengthen its employer brand and engage passive candidates who weren’t actively job-seeking.

Zain used LinkedIn Career Pages, targeted Recruitment Media, employee profile ads and InMail to reach a broader, more relevant talent pool and align messaging with its mission and Saudization goals. The approach cut time-to-hire by about 30% (from 45 to 31 days), grew followers 139% in one year, delivered 24% of new hires from its follower base, reduced recruitment costs, and enabled faster hires (one Commercial Executive was onboarded in under 20 days).
