UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of people with serious illnesses, needed to build a specialised sales team for a new arthritis treatment while expanding into unfamiliar markets such as immunodermatology. With limited visibility into the size and makeup of the talent pool, the company required rigorous market insight to find purpose-driven candidates with the right capabilities and cultural fit.

Working with LinkedIn, UCB deployed a proactive, data-driven recruitment strategy using Talent Insights, Recruiter, Jobs and Life Page, plus targeted keywords, LinkedIn groups and recruiter training. The campaign identified 2,000 relevant candidates for 50 specialised roles, made LinkedIn the source of 83% of careers-site traffic, and helped position UCB as an employer of choice while enabling faster, more confident hiring focused on capability and culture.
