Evonik, a global specialty chemicals company, needed to attract the right candidates to its career site and convey meaningful career impact despite not producing end consumer products. To strengthen its employer brand and show how its work improves everyday items, Evonik launched a LinkedIn employer-branding effort under the hashtag #HumanChemistry as part of its annual global media activities.
Over six months Evonik ran three waves of sponsored LinkedIn content (video and single-image ads) targeted to professionals in Chemicals and Engineering and used the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track conversions. The campaign achieved a 1.92% engagement rate and boosted conversion rates from 28% to as high as 54%, improving application quality and reducing cost-per-conversion.
