Randstad Sourceright’s blended learning approach reignites employee development

Randstad Sourceright, a global talent-acquisition and development firm with over 2,500 experts in 70+ countries, found its traditional classroom-based L&D program wasn’t meeting the needs of a modern workforce. Employees had limited opportunities to practice new skills, a narrow course range, and little flexibility, so the company needed a more scalable, role-relevant approach to support development and apply company values.

The L&D team implemented a blended learning model using Lynda.com (LinkedIn Learning), mapping online content to in-person curricula, requiring pre-class courses, and promoting mobile access. Within a year adoption hit 82%, courses completed rose 100%+ in the first month, hours viewed increased 89%, average viewing time per login grew 86%, and average learning rose from under 1 hour to 8 hours per learner quarterly—while classroom sessions became more practice-focused and interactive.
