A LinkedIn Learning Case Study

Preview of the Nedbank Case Study

Nedbank activates 95% of 3,000 licenses with LinkedIn Learning

Nedbank, South Africa's fourth-largest bank with 30,000 employees, faced pressure from FinTechs and new competitors, necessitating a cultural shift to a more agile, bottom-up mindset. Their challenge was to move away from inefficient instructor-led training and find a scalable, on-demand learning solution that would support continuous, self-driven employee development. They partnered with vendor LinkedIn Learning to implement its extensive online course library.

The solution implemented by LinkedIn Learning began with a pilot of 3,000 licenses, which saw a 95% activation rate and tens of thousands of videos watched. Due to this success, Nedbank expanded its investment to 30,000 licenses for nearly its entire workforce. LinkedIn Learning enabled massive reskilling for new roles, replaced costly external vendors to reduce costs, and helped foster a new learning culture. Employees reported feeling more equipped and supported for their roles, using the platform for both professional and personal growth.
