Case Study: Sportsbet achieves a dynamic, high-engagement learning culture with LinkedIn Learning

A LinkedIn Learning Case Study

Preview of the Sportsbet Case Study

How Sportsbet Used LinkedIn Learning to Build a Dynamic Learning Culture

Sportsbet, Australia’s first licensed bookmaker founded in 1993, has grown into a customer-centric, technology-driven online betting company of roughly 700 people. Committed to employee development, Sportsbet found classroom training didn’t fit its fast-paced, data-and-tech workforce—employees wanted shorter, more frequent, self-directed learning that could fit into their day rather than lengthy in-person sessions.

Sportsbet piloted Lynda.com and then rolled out LinkedIn Learning’s 12,000+ course library, integrating tailored learning paths and mobile/downloading features into existing development programs. In the first year employees watched nearly 11,500 videos across 1,900+ courses with an average engagement of 2 hours 42 minutes per active user and 82% returning to learn again—energising a culture of continuous learning and reinforcing the company’s commitment to skills development.
