A LinkedIn Learning Case Study
The customer, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), faced significant internal disruption due to a period of intense corporate change, including divestitures and acquisitions. This created employee unease and a need to pivot from a turnaround mindset to one focused on growth and innovation. HPE's Learning & Development team sought to enhance its learning offerings to support its people and upskill them at scale, moving beyond its expensive and underutilized legacy LMS. They partnered with the vendor LinkedIn Learning, using its Lynda.com product.
The solution implemented was the integration of LinkedIn Learning's Lynda.com content into HPE's learning ecosystem. This provided a vast library of high-quality, easily accessible courses that were marketed internally and integrated into over 100 learning channels. The results were immediate and substantial; within a year, HPE employees had watched over 1 million videos, completed 20,000 courses, and consumed 67,000 hours of content. For LinkedIn Learning, this engagement demonstrated a successful democratization of learning at HPE, leading to a more strategic L&D team and a strong foundation for a new culture of learning.
