Econet Wireless boosts learning adoption to 94% with LinkedIn Learning

Econet Wireless, Zimbabwe's largest telecommunications provider, faced the challenge of creating a culture of lifelong learning to help its employees compete in a rapidly changing industry. To achieve this, the company partnered with vendor LinkedIn Learning and purchased LinkedIn Learning licenses for its teams.

The solution implemented involved encouraging all employees to spend one hour per week learning on the LinkedIn Learning platform, with this time being allocated during their workday. Supported by a multi-channel internal marketing campaign and strong executive buy-in, the initiative led to phenomenal results. Two months after launch, 94% of employees had used the LinkedIn Learning solution, with learners averaging nearly four hours of learning per month. This high engagement is believed to contribute to the company's low employee turnover rate.
