KNAPP Relies on LINBIT’s DRBD®

KNAPP AG, a logistics expert based in Graz, needed a highly reliable IT infrastructure to support its complex warehouse logistics solutions and avoid costly downtime in fast-moving distribution environments. The company’s head of computer technology and IT infrastructure recommended high-availability setups with two servers, and KNAPP turned to LINBIT’s DRBD® to help meet those needs.

LINBIT implemented DRBD® to deliver High Availability for KNAPP’s customer installations, including a partial automation project for Cigaretten Ostermeier KG in Germany. The solution increased throughput by 100% in nearly the same area while avoiding the cost of a SAN, and LINBIT noted that DRBD® had already proven effective in continuous operation for around 50 customers.
